Access logging / How do we use cookies?
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). What kind of information does the SBM collect?
We are collecting name, last name, e-mail address and password if a user is registering on our site, the password is saved and encrypted, we do not have access to it. You also may provide information in your account (and you might have more than one if you’ve used more than one e-mail address when using our services), interacting with us by e-mail, or through our website, or otherwise. As a result of these actions, you might supply us with personal information, such as your name, e-mail, your opinions and individual preferences. If the user signs up via LinkedIn we also save some data that the API provides us with, namely location, industry and specialities: Basic Profile Fields.
When you visit our website, we may also gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include without limitation browser information, Internet Service Provider (ISP), operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or other device identifiers, location and date/time stamp.
SBM does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Those under age 13 should not use SBM’s website or provide SBM with any personal information.
For what purpose does the SBM collect my information?
We need this data to be able to create an account for the users to offer our services. SCIL uses your personal information to (i) make your account possible; (iii) maintain contact with you and provide you with ongoing personalized service; (iii) communicate with you (via e-mail) and provide you with promotional materials and additional information regarding our services; (iv) help us learn more about your preferences; (v) conduct marketing and performance research to assist us in measuring our performance and to help us improve our website experience and services. You may always choose to not receive promotional material as described below.
Data usage/user profiles
The use of the contents and offers of the SBM is not evaluated per user. It is stored only by the logging of the IP address. This means that the SBM does not create personal user profiles (e.g. by making use of pseudonyms) at any point in time. The matching of your personal data with the data from the access log via the IP address for the purpose of creating a personal user profile is not possible.
If you have received access to a SBM service from your employer, only selected anonymized and aggregated usage data will be shared with the company. Conclusions on individual persons’ usage behaviour cannot be drawn in any way.
The utilization behaviour of all users is evaluated on the basis of the stored data exclusively in an anonymous manner and exclusively for scientific-statistical purposes as well as for the purpose of the optimization and further development of our online services. We do not pass this data on to third parties. The sale or rental of these data is also excluded.
How long is personal information retained?
Accounts will be deleted automatically after one year without use.
Withdrawal from promotional information
We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive promotional information from us, please let us know at info@smartcityinnovationlab.com. Please be sure to include your full name and the e-mail address you used when you registered.
Changes to this Notice
We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make any changes, we will notify you by changing the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
